Capital Region covers a vast geographical area; and we will originate bus trips at different locations to make it convenient for Veterans across our service area:
Capital Region Honor Flight provides a one-day bus trip for 25 Veterans and their guardians to our nation’s capital to visit and reflect at the memorials built in their honor. Our Honor Flight hub is operated by the Honor Flight Network national office. We provide coverage in Maryland, Delaware and the local DC area.Capital Region Honor Flight provides a one-day bus trip for our senior war Veterans residing in DC, MD and DE as an honored guest visiting the memorials built in their honor. Come tour the DC War Memorials with honor with Capital Region Honor Flight, at no cost to our Veterans for this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Priority is given to our WWII, Korean and Vietnam Veterans. Each Veteran will be paired with a Guardian to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the day. Qualified family members or a friend / caregiver can serve as a Family Guardian (sorry, spouses are not allowed to serve). Family Guardians pay a $100 tax deductible fee to help cover meals and a keepsake t-shirt.
Capital Region would not be successful without the dedicated help provided by our volunteers. Capital Region Honor Flight can use your talents in many areas, including clerical work and social media expertise. Capital Region covers a vast geographical area (Maryland, DC and DE) and we are looking for volunteer scouts across these areas to assist with Veteran recruitment, speaking engagements, site location (missions will depart from various locations within our service area depending on the geographical makeup of our Veterans on that mission) and more. Please fill out a volunteer application today and someone will be in touch.
